Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. The host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature hairstyle and her spiky, blond locks as well as her pumped up personality, provides the simplest techniques that anyone could master. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the most prestigious restaurants in New York, studied the tradition of Italian cuisine, and the culinary landscape in Italy and competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for culinary arts and food at an early age. After earning an English as well as Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. She says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of America student. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every day." It was difficult to master enough and I could not do enough couldn't work hard enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell took a gap year to Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she learned to be aware of the history and concept behind Italian cuisine and culture which has had a profound impact on her culinary point of view. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing problems. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador in which she promotes awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor, she travels all over the US to talk about her culinary passion and profession. Anne said she felt lucky in that she could be able to share her passion for cooking with other people.
