Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS comedy Mom. Calvano is originally from California and initially was fascinated by gymnastics. However, she later decided to pursue a acting career. Her first screen appearance was an episode in 2010 of CBS's 'NCIS. One year later her first major-screen debut came in the biographical thriller movie J Edgar. She quickly became one of the best young actors to be seen over the next few decades. As a result of her appearance in 'NCIS', she was awarded a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series Guest-starring Young Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. In 2013 she was nominated to win another Young Artist Award for her appearance as a guest on Disney XD's comedy show 'Kickin' it'. Calvano played a part in the ensemble cast of Mom throughout its first three years and appeared numerous times during the fourth.
